The first sketch is of some wild blackberries I found on section 9 on the OHT a few weeks ago. If you're itching for some wild blackberries; around the first week of July go to the stretch of the OHT where the trail meets the road on it's last stretch to the Buffalo River. There's a whole mess of them growing on the fence line.
The second sketch is of a green heron I spotted at the lake in my neighborhood. It was a beautiful bird! My favorite thing about this bird was the way that it ruffled its top feathers before it jumped.
